How do I use PocketLab Air on Android?

Get your PocketLab Air connected to PocketLab Notebook on your Android phone or tablet

To connect PocketLab Air on your Android device, use the PocketLab Notebook web app on a Google Chrome browser. 
Directions for connecting PocketLab Air to PocketLab Notebook:
  1. Open a Chrome browser
  2. Navigate to thepocketlab.com/notebook
  3. Click "Start Collecting Data" to go to the Trials page
  4. Click "Connect a PocketLab"
  5. A Bluetooth connection window will open. Turn your PocketLab Air on. The name of your PocketLab Air should appear in the connection window.
  6. Click on the name of the PocketLab Air and then click "Pair" - it should automatically connect.
  7. You should now see your PocketLab Air data streaming live.

NOTE: The PocketLab Android app that you download from the Google Play Store currently only connects with our older sensor (PocketLab Voyager, PocketLab Weather, and PocketLab One). We are replacing that Android app with PocketLab Notebook soon.
 
Use PocketLab Notebook Offline on Android
If you do not have a network/internet connection, you can still connect your PocketLab, record data, and download a .csv of that data. The easiest way to do this is to download PocketLab Notebook to your home screen. Follow the steps below. 
Download PocketLab Notebook to your home screen on Android
To download the PocketLab Notebook web app to your Android home screen follow these steps. 
  1. Open a Chrome browser
  2. Navigate to thepocketlab.com/app
  3. Click on the three dot menu in the upper right corner of your Chrome browser
  4. Click the "Download" option
  5. PocketLab Notebook should download to your home screen on your phone/tablet.
You should now be able to access PocketLab Notebook directly from your home screen. If you do not have a network connection, you can still open up PocketLab Notebook from your home screen to connect to your PocketLab and the offline features.
